

Virginia was born in Seattle, WA on July 12, 1922 & passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2016. Her husband Russell passed away November 2001, they were married 57 years. She grew up in the University District & graduated from Roosevelt High School. She loved working at her father’s hardware store in the Montlake District. She was a Long Distance Telephone operator & this is where she met Russell. After they were married they moved to Shoreline, was a wonderful stay at home mom & was involved with their children’s activities. She was a member of a Children’s Orthopedic Guild, went to the hospital to sew things for the children & involved with the Penny Drive. She was a member of the Emblem Club & loved helping with their fundraisers, especially the bazaar’s. She belonged to the Tin Crafters Club & made many different crafts. She was a huge fan of the Seattle Mariners. They enjoyed camping & loved going to Birch Bay. She loved her family & Christmas was her favorite holiday. She is survived by her daughter Judy Lehman & son Rick (Dianne) Kent, grandchildren Trent, Troy (Tana) & Mark (Cristina) Lehman, Shawnee (Greg) Schroeder & Ryan (Becky) Kent. Great grandchildren Colin, Kayla, Nolen, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Kenley, Chase & Owen. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 10th at 1:00 pm at Edmonds United Methodist Church 828 Caspers Street, Edmonds, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gillespie Endowment Fund at Edmonds United Methodist Church. She will be truly missed by everyone.
