Wen-An was born in Shanghai, China in 1916 and was married to Teh-Ming Wang during World War II. Together, they fled to Hong Kong in 1948 and later moved to Taiwan. The couple eventually settled down in Taipei in 1949 where Wen-An raised 4 children – 3 daughters and a son. She was a hardworking, honest and traditional wife and mother. After all of her children moved to the United States, she decided to be near them and relocated to Seattle. Wen-An’s favorite hobby was gardening and when she moved to Kirkland, Washington in 1989, she began spending most of her free time tending to her nursery of vegetable and fruit trees. Wen-An was a devoted Buddhist her entire life and believed in helping others. She was a woman of great strength, a loving and patient wife, a caring mother, a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. We will miss her dearly.
May she rest in peace.
