Dear Steve,
Pat, Tim and I send our deepest condolences on the recent loss of your father. I wish we were able to travel to Seattle to be with you for the memorial service next weekend; please know you are in our thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort. I remember both your parents as having great dignity, love of family, and always enjoyed when your family came to Illinois to visit us. While he was clearly highly intelligent and had a professional demeanor showing keen interest in world affairs, your Dad also always had a fun, dry sense of humor which I appreciated more and more as I grew older. We know Uncle Bill will be dearly missed.
Much love to you from your Illinois family,

Marilyn, Pat and Tim
