Angela Gonzalez passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the age of 94, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, surrounded by her loving family.

Angela, affectionately known as Nena, was born and raised in Habana, Cuba, on August 2, 1930, to Manuel and Manuela Bajo, who had immigrated from Spain.

Angela was married to her beloved husband, Andres Gonzalez, for 56 years. In January of 1969, they moved to Spain in search of a better life for their children, living there until immigrating to the United States in 1970. They settled in Union City, NJ, where they built a life for themselves and their children before buying a home and moving to North Bergen.

Angela dedicated her life to caring for others. Her selflessness showed in everything she did from how she raised her children to the way she always made space for others. She gave her time, her heart, and her energy freely, never expecting anything in return.

She was a talented couturier who brought exclusive ideas to life with her hands and vision. Angela sketched, conceptualized, and sewed each piece herself, often finishing her designs with detailed hand embroidery. Her craftsmanship reflected her creativity, patience, and deep attention to detail, qualities that defined her both personally and professionally.

Angela was happiest when her home was full, hosting gatherings for family and friends, cooking meals with love, and making sure everyone felt welcome and cared for. She created memories that will stay with her loved ones forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andres Gonzalez; her parents, Manuel and Manuela Bajo; her sisters, Maria and Carmen; and her brothers, Manolo, Santiago, Antonio, and Domingo. She is survived by her son, Andres Leandro Gonzalez, and his wife, Deborah, and by her daughter, Maria De Los Angeles Molinari, and her husband, Robert.

Angela was a proud grandmother to Andres Gonzalez, Nicole Castro and her husband Luis, Christian Gonzalez and his fiancée Theresa, Daniel Torres and his wife Cara, and Alexis Torres and his wife Karen. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Ashli, Sebastian, Arya, Daniela, Lucas, Leo, and Avery.

She is also survived by her brother, Ricardo Bajo, and his wife Teresa, along with cousins and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Leber Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094.

A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 395 Delano Place, Fairview, NJ 07022.

Angela will be laid to rest at Flower Hill Cemetery, 5433 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ 07047, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM.

Angela Gonzalez falleció en paz el Viernes 6 de Junio de 2025, a la edad de 94 años, tras una larga batalla contra la enfermedad de Alzheimer, rodeada de sus familiares queridos.

Angela, cariñosamente conocida como Nena, nació y creció en La Habana, Cuba, el 2 de Agosto de 1930, hija de Manuel y Manuela Bajo, quienes emigraron desde España.

Angela estuvo casada con su amado esposo, Andrés González, durante 56 años. En Enero de 1969, se mudaron a España en busca de una vida mejor para sus hijos, donde vivieron hasta emigrar a los Estados Unidos en 1970. Se establecieron en Union City, Nueva Jersey, donde construyeron una vida para ellos y sus hijos antes de comprar una casa y mudarse a North Bergen.

Angela dedicó su vida al cuidado de los demás. Su generosidad y entrega se reflejaban en todo lo que hacía, desde la manera en que crió a sus hijos hasta la forma en que siempre abría su corazón y su hogar a quienes la rodeaban. Daba su tiempo, su amor y su energía sin esperar nada a cambio.

También fue una talentosa modista que daba vida a ideas exclusivas con sus manos y su visión. Angela dibujaba, conceptualizaba y cosía cada prenda ella misma, a menudo terminando sus diseños con bordados a mano llenos de detalle. Su trabajo reflejaba su creatividad, paciencia y atención al detalle, cualidades que la definieron tanto en lo personal como en lo profesional.

Angela era más feliz cuando su casa estaba llena, recibiendo a familiares y amigos, cocinando con amor y asegurándose de que todos se sintieran bienvenidos y cuidados. Creó recuerdos que sus seres queridos atesorarán por siempre.

Fue precedida en la muerte por su esposo, Andrés González; sus padres, Manuel y Manuela Bajo; sus hermanas, María y Carmen; y sus hermanos, Manolo, Santiago, Antonio y Domingo. Le sobreviven su hijo, Andrés Leandro González, y su esposa, Deborah, así como su hija, María de los Ángeles Molinari, y su esposo, Robert.

Angela fue una orgullosa abuela de Andres Gonzalez, Nicole Castro y su esposo Luis, Christian Gonzalez y su prometida Theresa, Daniel Torres y su esposa Cara, y Alexis Torres y su esposa Karen. También fue bendecida con bisnietos: Ashli, Sebastián, Arya, Daniela, Lucas, Leo y Avery.

También le sobreviven su hermano, Ricardo Bajo, y su esposa Teresa, así como primos y numerosos sobrinos, sobrinas, sobrinos nietos y sobrinas nietas.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el Miércoles 11 de Junio de 2025, de 4:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m., en Leber Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094.

La misa fúnebre se celebrará el Jueves 12 de Junio de 2025, de 11:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m., en Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 395 Delano Place, Fairview, NJ 07022.

Angela será sepultada en Flower Hill Cemetery, 5433 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ 07047, el Jueves 12 de Junio de 2025, de 12:30 p.m. a 1:00 p.m.
