Anthony Anicich

Anicich, Anthony, 73, of Secaucus, NJ entered into rest at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday August 27, 2013. Anthony was born in Croatia, and at age 11 came to Hoboken, NJ where he resided for most of his life.Beloved husband for 50 years of Rosanne (nee Cappiello) Anicich. Loving son of the late Marijan and Ivana Anicich. Devoted father of Kerri Aponte and her husband Hector and Debra Feldman and her husband Harris. Adored grandfather of Cory, Rachel, Tyler, Jonah, Sydney, and Jesse. Dear Brother of Joseph and his wife Denise. Anthony is also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews. Anthony was a retired Hoboken Police Detective who had a passion for cooking and entertaining his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing cards at his social club. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus. The family will gather at the funeral home with their relativres and friends on Saturday at 9 AM for a 10 AM funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his memory of Anthony to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF.org).
