Born in Union City, NJ, to Henry and Grace Spranger.
Arlene worked as a Nurse for many years for Dr. DeAngelis and Dr. Wattiker. She was involved with the Immaculate Conception School Association and was President of the Secaucus School Board of Education. She also worked as an insurance adjuster for New Jersey Manufacturers and was a partner in the opening of the first Dunkin Donuts in Secaucus.
She enjoyed Bowling, Bocce Ball, crabbing in South Carolina and was the Princess Pretty of the ship!
Devoted wife of 58 years to the late Stuart Kopp; loving mother of Pamela Kopp, Steven Kopp and his wife Amy, and Renee Collins and her husband Robert; cherished grandmother of Steven and Emily Kopp, and Abigail and Natalie Collins; dear sister of the late David Spranger and his late wife Peggy, the late Arthur Spranger and his wife Elanor, of the late Joan Mann, and the late Margaret Smeyers and her late husband Joseph Smeyers, the late Janet Weinbrecht and her husband George Weinbrecht. Arlene also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, close family members and cherished friends.
Due to the current circumstances, a memorial celebration of Arlene’s life will be held at a future date.
