Barbara Mary Moynihan

Barbara Mary Moynihan nee Lombardi of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. passed peacefully in her sleep on October 22, 2025. Born in Hudson County, NJ. Barbara was raised in North Bergen & Guttenberg, before settling down in Hasbrouck Heights 25 years ago with her Husband, Declan, who will sorely miss the love of his life. Barbara also leaves to miss her ever-wonderful presence. her children Jessica Murphy of Sayerville, and Robert "Bobby" Newcomb also of Hasbrouck Heights. Her daughter's children loved Grandma Guinness, who were so loved by Barbara - Sarah, Daniel, Jonathan, and Jenavie.

Her Parents John and Mary Lombardi predeceased her. Her siblings, John Lombardi of North Bergen (his wife, Janice who predeceased) William (and his wife Donna) of Athens, Alabama, Jan O'Brus of Las Vegas, Nevada and Carol Lombardi, of Little Ferry survive her along with many nieces and nephews. Her dog Onyx will also miss her.

Barbara, who was a homemaker for most of her life, worked for NBC in New York as a secretary in her early life. She had a great time in her days as a bartender at The Brass Rail in North Bergen and later at Maggie's in Carlstadt, where she had wonderful friendships and made great memories.

Barbara lived life to the fullest - she loved travelling especially to Aruba and her day trips to Atlantic City with her best friend Mary Trombita Hadrava and time spent fishing with her husband and at the beach with her grandkids. Whenever you saw Barbara she always had a story to tell and a smile on her face. May she always be smiling down on us as we try and get through this difficult time.

A visitation will be held at Leber Funeral Home, located at 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ, 07094, on October 24, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
