Barbara Traino

Barbara Traino, 78, of Secaucus, NJ, passed away peacefully Friday, June 12, 2020.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, to Mary and Peter Wasko. Barbara worked as a hairdresser at August & Norman’s Beauty Salon in Union City, and at Waters, McPherson & McNeil in Secaucus till retirement.

Devoted wife of the late Dominick Traino, Sr.; loving mother of Christine Traino D’Avanzo and her husband Glenn, and stepmother of the late Michael Traino and his wife Mary Ellen, and Dominick Traino, Jr.; cherished grandmother of Ember, Ariell, Jesse, and Matthew Traino, and Victoria and Gianna D’Avanzo; and dear sister of the late Maryann Wasko. Barbara also leaves behind many close friends and family members.

I’ll always remember Barbara as a kind and loving person and good friend to my Mom, her long-time co-worker. When I was in HS Barbara gave me her maroon leather jacket that she loved. She laughed I was the only one that could fit in it! I still have it and whenever I wear it I think of her. Rest in peace. XO
