Belen Cruz Fajardo of Secaucus, passed away on Friday January 17. Belen was born in the Philippines to the late Marcelo and Celerina Cruz and lived there before moving to Secaucus in 1990. Something in Her innate nature as a care taker enabled her to be an exceptional registered nurse and human being for 50+ years in the medical field. After spending 16 years of service in the Philippines, 8 years in the middle east. She finished it off with 21 years in Meadowlands Hospital before retiring some time ago. Belen is survived by her loving husband Jaime Fajardo; Devoted children, Jaime and his wife Marie Glenn, Mylene Reyes and her husband Ronnie, Irvin Fajardo, and Darwin Fajardo; Cherished grandchildren, Toni-Anne, Jalen, Alexa, and Gabbie; siblings, Bernardino Cruz and his wife Grace, Marie Hernandez, and GiGi Salvador; nieces and nephews, Maggie Cruz, Larissa Salvador, and Lexter Salvador; and her favorite puppy Pepper.
A visitation for Belen will be held Wednesday, January 22 from 5 to 9PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, January 23, 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church with entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ.
