Camille G. Schlemm, age 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at her home in Secaucus, NJ. Born April 19, 1938 in Hoboken, she lived in Jersey City and North Bergen before making Secaucus her home for the past 57 years.
Involved in the community, she was President of the Huber Street PTA, a member of the Booster Club, and the Golden Age Club for many years. She worked at American Alloys, US Testing, and Maxwell House.
A social butterfly, her favorite days were spent shopping, going to shows, or grabbing lunch with her many friends.
But for Camille, family always came first. Whether it was laboring over Christmas dinner so everyone was stuffed and had leftovers for a month, or spending an hour talking about your day—she made sure her family was loved.
She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Gerard G. Schlemm, and survived by her two sons Joseph and his wife Mary Anne of Secaucus, Michael and his wife Lana of Secaucus, and her daughter Lisa Anne Palladino and her husband Steven of Hasbrouck Heights. She was a loving grandmother, known as Mama, to her 10 grandchildren—Marc, Kyle, Samantha, Zachary, Erik, Alexander, Ryan, Katelyn, Ethan, and Madison.
The viewing will be held at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 4pm - 8PM.
