Carl C. Kono
March 23, 1937 – August 21, 2018
Carl lived a life of daring and adventure. He loved, he explored, he found treasure! An eternal optimist, he was spirited until the end. His loves included his family and friends, poker, storytelling, Pelham Parkway, telling lies and terrible jokes, and antiques in no particular order. He is survived by his wife, Jean, his children Susan and Jacob, his grandchildren Arianna, Cayla, and Dean, and his sister Roberta Geula. A memorial service will be held at Mack Memorial Home in Secaucus, NJ on Friday, August 24th, 2018 at 11AM. Shiva to follow at Jean's home.

Carl C. Kono
September 4, 2018
Carl and Jean were regular breakfast patrons of the Bendix Diner in Hasbrouck Heights, where I ran into them off and on for the last several years. They were both so supportive of whatever I was doing, and always asked about my extended family. Very, very selfless and caring of others.
Carl will be missed very much at the Bendix, and, I'm sure, wherever his travels took him. My sincerest condolences to Jean and Carl's entire extended family. "Richie" Barnitt

Jean, Susan and Jake, I am truly saddened to hear of Carl's passing. I have many happy memories of the fun times Donald and I shared with you and Carl. I know his family was very important to him and my most sincere condolences are with you all during this most difficult time. Maureen Lostumbo
