Caterina Clemente

Born in Termini Imerese, Italy, she was the beloved daughter of Caterina and Cosimo Rotondo.

Caterina was a gifted artist and accomplished opera singer whose creativity and love of the arts remained a constant throughout her life. She later shared her talents by teaching art and ceramics to senior citizens at the Doric temple, in Union City NJ, inspiring others to discover their own creativity. She also served as a teacher’s aide at Roosevelt Grammar School, where she enjoyed working with children until her retirement.

She was the beloved wife of the late Antonino Clemente; loving mother of Diana Ryan and her husband Matthew, Anthony Clemente and Jilly Clemente; Cherished grandmother of April, Calista, Holly, Rebecca, and Sara Ryan. She also leaves behind many loving extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her kindness, warmth, and artistic spirit.

A visitation for Caterina will take place at Leber Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ, on Monday, July 6, from 4 to 8PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace RC Church in Fairview, NJ, on Tuesday, July 7, at 10:30AM. Entombment to follow at Fairview Mausoleum.
