She was born in Hoboken, NJ to Ruth Mills McGauley and Bernard J. McGauley. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Arthur. She is survived by her beloved son James Arthur and loving daughter Nancy Arthur. Catherine graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart High School, in Hoboken, NJ. She enjoyed sewing, jewelry crafting, landscape painting, and maintaining her home. She worked as the secretary to the Regional Director of Wyeth Labs and later went on to finish her career at La Touraine Coffee. Catherine was a resident of Secaucus for 85 years.
A committal service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ on Wednesday, October 22 at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers donations in Catherine’s name to Catholic Charities would be greatly appreciated.
