Every time Charlie would see me he would put his arm around my shoulder and give a hug that always made me feel special and protected. Firefighter suited you Charlie. To all of his family I am truly sorry for your loss. You were blessed to have him in your lives, and so was I. With my love, Martha.

I’m so sorry to hear the sad news about Charlie. Growing up across Centre Avenue from the Voorhees’s home. I witnessed the love within your family and your kindness toward others. I remember Charlie as a wonderful, neighborhood role model. Loving and protecting his family as a husband and father; and loving and protecting his town as a firefighter. Please find comfort knowing Charlie’s legacy of love will continue to ripple through the generations. God bless you all.
With love,
Tom & Teresa McMahon

Thank you for all you have done for Secaucus, your family, and friends as well as strangers. Now you are reaping the reward of eternal life and you will continue to help everyone who knew you by the example you demonstrated in the likeness of Jesus himself. Bernadette, Charlie, Jimmy, and Sharon, it is a honor to have been able to know your lovely family who sets the bar high for others to follow in your footsteps. May God be celebrating with open arms his entrance to heaven.
