Christine Ann Bodei

Christine “Chris” Ann Bodei, age 60, of Secaucus, New Jersey passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022. Christine was born March 24, 1962 and spent her adolescence living in Montclair, NJ. Chris spent close to 40 years as a legal secretary in Manhattan, spending her last years working for Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoades. She is predeceased by her parents, Anne and Henry Cassidy, and her husband, Richard Bodei. She is survived by her Loving Daughter Nicole Bodei Dillon and son-in-law Shane Dillon; Devoted Siblings, Lynne, Karen, Theresa, Patrick, and Kevin; and her beloved pets, her cat Sheldon and her dog Pepe.

The number one focus in Christine’s life was her daughter Nicole. As a single mother for many years, the bond between her and her daughter was immeasurable. Chris prided herself greatly on Nicole’s successes, whether that be academic, professional, or personal. She also held a close bond with Nicole’s husband Shane, who she quickly accepted as a child of her own.

Christine’s other strongest passions in life were her hobbies. Since childhood she had been a talented pianist, and loved playing for her friends and family at parties. She had a very strong eye for crafts, and would regularly turn household objects into beautiful art projects. Chris was also an avid gardener, never turning down an opportunity to spend an afternoon in the gardening department at Home Depot with her daughter.

Whether it was while riding the bus into the city every day or while walking her beloved dogs, Christine made countless friends and acquaintances across Secaucus. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday the 17th of June from 5-8pm at the Mack Memorial Home 1245 Paterson Plank Rd. Secaucus, NJ 07094.
