Clare E Prevot

Born in The Bronx on September 26th, 1961, to Clare M Prevot and the late John W Prevot.

She joined the VFW JR Unit in North Bergen at Post 2648 from the start on January 20th, 1970, where she held many offices and was president, and then moved over to the VFW Aux when she turned 18 in August 1979. She held many offices and was president of the Auxiliary 2648 twice, and then became secretary. In District 3 of the VFW Auxiliary, holding many offices and many charminships, and was District President ten times. She held many state chairmanships and was Solosit numerous times and recorder for many years. She also helped veterans working with American Legion Auxiliary Post 310 she held various titles and programs. She was also an active parishioner at Holy Cross in Harrison, where she was a CCD teacher, a lector, a eucharistic minister, and trained the altar servers, belonged to the choir, and was vice president of the Rosary Society, where she chaired many fundraisers, and was also on the parish council. Before that, she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima in North Bergen, where she was involved in the youth choir, the adult choir, Sacristan,CCD teacher, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Rosary Society member, and she also served on the parish council. She travelled with family and friends to different places.

She is survived by her mother, Clare M Prevot (Daley), her brother Matthew Prevot and his Daughter Samantha Prevot, her sister Elizabeth Kitson (Prevot) and her goddaughter Catlin Piccione. Her godson, Louis Chiurico and other nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, John W Prevot and her Brother John J Prevot.

A visitation for Clare will be held on Monday, March 30th, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Leber Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, New Jersey 07094. A funeral mass will occur on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026 at 10:30am, at Holy Cross Church, 323 Harrison Avenue, Harrison, NJ. Repass to Follow at the American Legion Post 310, 100 Liberty Street, Little Ferry.
