Daniel S Cieri

Dan was born on January 11th, 1942, to Daniel S. Cieri Sr. MD and Helen Cieri (née DeShayes). After his graduation from Emerson High School in Union City, New Jersey he went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Pace University in New York City. He served his country in the US Army National Guard for 6 years. He was a spiritual seeker of truth. He was employed by NBC TV for many years as a Time Sales Executive.

Dan was known for his friendly talkative personality. He was liked by all who met him. In his spare time, he could be found watching his favorite sports teams compete on TV, or reading his favorite books. He also was a prolific writer of many wonderful inspiring poems and aphorisms.

More than anything else, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Dan is survived by his wife Margaret (Margie) Cieri, his children Danielle Arcaro MD, Dennis Cieri (Shakhnoza), Dina Burgos (Gil), Dante Cieri, Donato Cieri, his grandchildren Alexandra Arcaro, Juliana Arcaro, Dennis Cieri Jr., and Joseph Cieri, Blayke Burgos, and Ashyr Burgos, his sister Cathrine Ackaway, Brother-in-Law Mike Urbanowicz, and nephew James Ackaway(Joan), niece Donna Jarman, and niece Amy Nesta (Nick), and his cousin Daniel Horgan (Maureen).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel S. Cieri Sr. and Helen Cieri, and his sister Ann Urbanowicz.

Visitation will be held at Leber Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094, US, on September 30, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A celebration of life service will take place at a later time.
