Dominick M. DeGennaro, age 93, of Secaucus, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

Born in Molfetta, Italy to Antonia (nee Gadalita) and Marino DeGennaro. The family originally immigrated from Italy and settled in Hoboken, NJ.

Dominick served his country proudly in the US Navy during WWII. After his discharge from the Navy, he held various positions until he became employed as a milkman at Sunny Brook Farms, later sold to Hohneker’s Dairy and then Farmland Dairy. After 40 years of delivering milk, Dominick retired from Farmland Dairy and commenced employment with the Town of Secaucus as a Medical Escort Driver.

Dominick was a devout parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church in Secaucus, NJ and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed bowling, playing bocci, politics, and reminiscing of the days in the Navy, even proudly displaying his Navy ship on his computer background.

Dominick also enjoyed tinkering in the garage or the house fixing or repairing something. Even more so, he cherished spending time with the family, especially on Sundays when he would make gravy and take requests for "specialty" favorites. His children, their spouses and grandchildren were his most cherished gifts.

Dominick was the beloved husband of the late Dolores DeGennaro (nee Basile); loving father of Frances DeGennaro-Culver and her husband Rob, Dominick DeGennaro and his wife Toni, and Michael DeGennaro and his wife Christine; and cherished grandfather of Christopher, Nicole, Jessica, and Corey.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 21 from 2 to 6 pm at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ, with a prayer service at the funeral home at 5:30 pm. Dominick will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dominick’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated. -click links below -

So sorry for your loss , I always enjoyed visiting Uncle Dom & Aunt Delores when they lived in North Bergen & I was a teenager, they had a german shepherd that I was afraid of, they kept him in the garage when we visited. I remember singing songs with them & having Aunt Delores’s yummy desserts!
Then they moved to Secaucus & my brothers & I enjoyed seeing Fran, Dom & Michael.
Take care & May the Lord bring you peace during this difficult time. May Uncle Dom Rest In Peace with Aunt Delores in heaven! ✝️😘🙏
