Florence Evelyn (Krause) Tarantino, 85, of Secaucus, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, October 9th, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jersey City to the late Alfred and Lois (Seigner) Krause, Florence was a lifelong resident of Secaucus and a cherished member of her community.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her greatest joy was her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Tarantino and the devoted mother of Grayce Ann Antonacci and her husband Peter, Lois Zaccagnino and her husband John, Claudia Macaro and her husband Vic, and Camille Weschke and her husband B.J.
She was the proud and loving grandmother of Michael Antonacci, PJ Antonacci, Jordan Antonacci, Jaden Antonacci, Gina Bucci and her husband John, Vittorio Macaro and his wife Kelly Ann, Mia Anissa Luciano and her husband Hector, Andrew Weschke, and Nicholas Weschke; and the adoring great-grandmother of Giada Luciano and Isabella Bucci.
She was a loving Nana to Lacey Long, a dear aunt to John Krause and Michelle Vanacore and pre deceased by her brothers John and Shotsy (Alfred) Florence will be remembered fondly by her many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Florence was a woman of deep faith whose kindness and generosity touched everyone she met. She was often referred to as Ms. Tarantino, the “mom of Farm Road”, her warmth drawing neighbors in from the whole block. Florence lived a life filled with love, laughter, and purpose. She gave back to her community through her work with Meals on Wheels and was always ready to lend a helping hand where it was needed. She cherished spending time with her dear friends—especially enjoying lunches, trips to the gym, and sharing stories and laughter. Florence also loved to travel, explore new places, and relax with a good audiobook.
Florence will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love of family, and the warmth and joy she brought into the lives of all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus.
