

Frank Bruzgis passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 9, 2022. He was 91 years old. Frank was born in Secaucus, NJ to William and Josephine (Tamulevich) Bruzgis and remained a lifelong resident of Secaucus.
Frank proudly served his country during the Korean War with the United States Army. Later, he was employed as a Bell Captain with The Hotel New Yorker and Sheraton Hotel in NYC for many years, where he often met and had long conversations with several celebrities, including Milton Berle and Joe DiMaggio.
Upon retirement, Frank dedicated the remainder of his life to The Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima. He was a deeply religious man and a devout parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church.
Frank enjoyed gardening and was proud of the giant sunflowers he would grow each year. He also enjoyed watching the birds and hand feeding the squirrels, who appeared daily on his front porch, looking for their peanuts. Frank liked to take daily walks to his favorite restaurant in town, Filomena’s. He also enjoyed traveling by bus into NYC and would return with gifts for friends and family. He was a very generous man.
Frank is predeceased by his brothers, Stanley, Vincent and Thomas Bruzgis and his sisters Frances Duffner and Josephine Bruzgis. He is survived by his sister Helen Evans, along with many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He will be deeply missed.
