Galyna’s beautiful journey began in a small town near Kyiv, Ukraine, where she was born into a close-knit family of four sisters. From an early age, she showed a quiet strength, a sense of responsibility, and deep love for those around her. After graduating from college in Kyiv, she built a rewarding career as a bookkeeper in the bustling heart of the city. She approached her work with precision and dedication, traits that reflected her caring and devoted nature.
Family was always the center of Galyna’s world. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother of 2 children, and a cherished sister. Though time eventually separated her from some of her loved ones, her younger sister - her one remaining close sibling - held a special place in her heart. Together, they carried the shared memories of a lively childhood and a deep family bond.
Later in life, Galyna made the courageous decision to move to the United States to be close to her daughter. It was not an easy transition - leaving behind her home, friends, and country - but in her new life, she found joy, purpose, and community once again.
Galyna lived with quiet grace and a joyful, curious spirit. She was a gifted knitter whose intricate cable sweaters were works of art, made with love and patience. She loved spending afternoons watching YouTube, always eager to learn something new or enjoy a good laugh. Her heart was happiest outdoors - whether picking fruits and vegetables, nurturing her garden, or walking along the beach with her beloved dog, Raven, whom she adored deeply.
She found companionship and laughter among her friends at the senior day care center, and she never lost her enthusiasm for life’s simple pleasures - like sharing a slice of pizza or a plate of sushi with those she loved.
Galyna’s life was one of love, creativity, and resilience. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and the reminder that joy can be found in the everyday moments we share. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.
