Ganga Ram Sharma MD, born on February 9, 1942, passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 83. A child of Lakshmi Sahai Sharma and Savitri Sharma. He graduated from Maulana Zuad Medical College in India. He began his private medical practice in the United States in the 1970's in East Orange, New Jersey.
His compassion for his patients continued when he moved to the Veterans Administration as a Psychiatrist over 20 years ago and continued to the high level of care he provided in New Jersey to his patients at the Ocala VA clinic until his departure on October 13th, 2025.
Ganga loved gardening, reading books and newspapers, listening to classical and Indian music, he loved the outdoors, jogging and marathons in his younger years and daily walks as he aged.
He leaves behind two wonderful sons Hemant and Sharad.
Ganga will be deeply missed by his family, friends, coworkers and patients.
A memorial gathering will be held on October 23, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Mack Memorial Home.
