GIACOMO (JACK) SALLUSTIO, 58, of Secaucus, NJ, passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by family on Friday April 8, 2016. He was born on March 24, 1958 to Giacomo and Amelia Rugghia and resided his childhood life in Weehawken, NJ. He married his high school sweet-heart, Louise Cocucci on March 27, 1982, and moved to Secaucus, NJ in 1991 to raise his family. Surviving are his son Giacomo Sallustio and wife Jeduanny, his 3 daughters, Gina and husband Anthony Dovi, Maria, and Lea Sallustio; and his 2 granddaughters Milania and Daniella. Also surviving are his brother Anthony and his wife Claudine of Ocean, NJ and sister Marta Cimillio of Weehawken, NJ as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jack’s work ethic began as a teenager at the Oak Deli in Weehawken. He then found his passion for construction and started Jack Sallustio Plumbing & Heating. For 25 years in business, Jack was creative, passionate, and proud of his achievements, especially helping family and friends build and remodel their homes. In the past 10 years, Jack served the residents and Town of Secaucus as the inter-local plumber, most proudly upgrading the town’s parks and schools. Jack created a special bond with town workers and hundreds of residents through his many projects. Jack enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley Davidson, country music, wood working, bocce, bowling, golf, trips to Disney World, and most of all laughing with his family, neighbors, and friends in his backyard. Jack’s positivity, love, humor, and dignity will live on through his wife, children, family, and all those he taught and loved. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 12, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday April 13th 9:30 am Immaculate Conception Church, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
