

Grace Tanner (nee Krause), 88 a lifelong resident of Secaucus, NJ entered into rest on Friday January 23, 2015. Beloved wife of Irving Tanner. Devoted mother of Meryl Tanner-Hill and her husband Joshua. Loving daughter of William F. & Rose Krause who were one of the original founding families of the Town of Secaucus. Grace is pre-deceased by sister and brother-in-law Virginia & Jule Beharka, her brother & sister-in-law William R. and Theodora Krause and her nephew William J. Krause. Grace was a Rodeo Barrel Racing Champion with her horse Cindy, a Copa Girl in the world famous Copacabana Chorus Line, a professional Ballroom Dance Instructor for Don Pallini Studios in NYC and later partnered and taught with her husband Irving. Grace was a New York Model, a Telephone Operator with Martz Bus Line, a Director of Hospitality for America’s longest running Passion Play in Union City, a Receptionist at Secaucus Dance Arts dance studio and a Cat & Dog lover,besides being the best, most extraordinary Mom in the whole world. She will be greatly missed for her inimitable style, her generosity, her charity, her God-given talents, her individuality, her sense of humor, her warmth, her kindness, her knowledge, her know-how, her bravery, her strength, and her fortitude. She was truly one of a kind. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus. The family will gather at the funeral home with their relatives and friends on Thursday (due to the bad weather) at 9:00 AM for a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Church.
