Jeffrey A. Shanton

Jeffrey A. Shanton, 69, died on March 29th in North Bergen, NJ where he resided. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Eleanor (Weaver) Shanton and Elwood W. Shanton, who survives him. Jeff was a graduate of William Allen High School.

He was Director of Billing and Business Development at Journal Square Surgical Center in Jersey City and was the former president of the New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Jeff had a big and generous heart. He loved and took great pride in his garden and his knowledge and love of history – particularly military history – was boundless.

Survivors: longtime partner Maureen Calandrillo of North Bergen; brothers David of Brooklyn and Erik of Ithaca and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Keith.

A visitation for Jeffrey will be held Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Leber Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. A graveside service will occur Friday, April 4, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Rd, Allentown, PA 18109.
