

John Thompson, age 74, of Bushkill, PA. passed away on March 8th, 2023. John was born October 18, 1948 to the late William and Christine Thompson in Jersey City, NJ. John lived most of his life in Secaucus, NJ before moving to Bushkill, PA. Before retiring, John was a long-haul truck driver for APA Transport in North Bergen, NJ. John was an avid lover of all animals, working for the Secaucus Animal Shelter for several years after retirement. John had a passion for practical jokes, reading, movies, and ensuring everything was done as safely as possible earning him the nickname from his kids, Mr. Safety.
He is survived by his Children, Eric (Tracie), Jonathan (Scott), and Bill (Brittany); Siblings, Barbara and Christine; three Grandchildren; and many loving extended family members and friends.
John also left behind 278 pairs of reading glasses, several Rubik’s cubes, and a motion sensing speaker that barked, which he affectionately called Killer. All have been safely rehomed.
A Memorial visitation for John will be held Friday, April 21st from 1 to 4PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. In Lieu of Flowers, his family asks that you consider one of the following:
