

Born in Jersey City, NJ to Maryann and Leon Bienkowski, he would go on to serve his country proudly in the US Army in Korea. He would later join the Secaucus Police Department followed by then joining the Port Authority Police Department where he rose to the rank of detective, retiring in 1999 after 32 years of dedicated service.
Beloved husband of Kathleen Bienkowski; loving father of Joseph, Michael, and Scott Bienkowski; adoring grandfather of Sean, Tyler, Matthew and his wife Jennifer, Jayson, and Abigail Bienkowski; and dear brother of Bernadette Russo and her late husband Vito, Leon Bienkowski and his late wife Joan, and the late Richard and Edmund Bienkowski. Also survived by his sister-in-law Barbara Broderick. Joseph also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, close family members, and dear friends.
A visitation for Joseph will be held on Friday, November 14 from 4 to 8PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 15 at 9:30AM at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Secaucus, NJ. A committal service with military honors to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
