Joseph J. Capozio

Joseph J. Capozio, age 89, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. He was born to the late Anthony and Carmella Capozio of Hoboken NJ. He later lived in Union City then West New York before settling in Secaucus NJ for over 40 years, a town who honored him as man of the year. Joseph was an integral part of and loved Secaucus and he leaves behind many dear friends there.

1 ½ years ago Joseph moved with his wife to reside with family in Brick Township. A veteran of the U.S. Army where he served during the Korean War. Joseph was most proud of his rank of 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.

A very hard working man he ended his career as Logistics Manager for T.A. Fattoross Paper Company of Hoboken for many years before retiring.

Joseph a true family man is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Marie (Striano) Capozio, his loving children Anthony with his wife Sally Jo, Paul and his wife Linda, and Joseph and his wife Susanna;

He is watching over his cherished Grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Lauren, Courtney Capozio, and Nicholas Capozio, Melissa Jones and her husband Cody, He was proud of his devoted Great Grandchildren, Giovanna and Ariella.

He was predeceased by his siblings James Capozio and his wife Terry, His beloved sister Muriel Fattoross and her husband Vinnie along with many cousins and relatives of this large and loving family.

A visitation for Joseph will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 4 to 8 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, followed by his entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Ridge Rd., North Arlington, NJ.
