Joseph G. Livigne, age 77, of Secaucus, NJ, passed away Saturday, May, 30, 2020. He was born on December 23, 1942 in Hoboken, NJ to the late Pasquale and Dolores Livigne. He moved to Secaucus at the age of 4 where he attended Huber Street School and Lincoln Jr. High School.
At the age of 17 Joseph joined the U.S. Army where he proudly served until 1961. Following an honorable discharge, Joseph moved back to Secaucus. He was employed at Turnpike Ford for many years and was also a dispatcher for several transportation companies until he retired in 2001.
Joseph was a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scout Troop 112 in Secaucus, NJ for many years until the troop ended in 1982. He was also a member of the American Legion 142 in Maywood, NJ, as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge #72 in Secaucus, NJ.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Amie Miller (Lance) of Marietta, OH, two brothers, Thomas Livigne (Carol) of Whiting, NJ and Carl Livigne (Michelle) of Stroudsburg, PA, two grandchildren Hailey Miller and Logan Miller both of Marietta, OH, numerous nieces and nephews, and his best friend of 65 years Donald Bowers (Eleonora) of Milford, PA.
Due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic there will be no visitation or wake. There will be a celebration of life planned at a later date.
