Julian J. Borkowski, 91, of Secaucus, NJ passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2013. Julian is the son of the late Louise and John Borkowski of Jersey City, brother of the late Josephine Brown, Theresa Chmielewski, Joan O’Connor and Thomas Borkowski. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lucy (Korycincki) Borkowski, daughter Barbara and her husband Joseph Barba, two grandsons Christopher Barba and Joseph Barba and wife Jennifer, his great-granddaughter Grace , his brother Edward Borkowski and many nieces & nephews. Julian was employed for over forty years as a supervisor at Millmaster Onyx in Jersey City. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a medic in World War II in Europe. Julian loved golf, bowling and playing cards with his many friends. He was a Giant & Yankee Fan. The Spectator sport he loved the most was watching his grandsons plat football at Bergen Catholic H.S. He followed Villanova Football when Joseph played there. Viewing for friends & family will be at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The family will gather at the funeral home with their relatives & friends on Wednesday at 9:00 AM for a 10:00 AM funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
