Kenneth Edward Kwityn

Kenneth Kwityn, 79, passed away comfortably at home on July 15, 2026. Although he was a proud Rutherford resident for more than 40 years, you'd know by his accent that Ken was Jersey City born and bred.

Ken belonged to the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, and before his retirement he was employed for over three decades by Rudox Engine and Equipment Company as a machinist and diesel mechanic. His work at times involved travel outside the United States, and on a more local level also brought him to the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid, NY, and the top of Mount Beacon in Beacon, NY. He approached and executed his craft with precision and exactness, and even after retiring he loved working with his hands and tinkering around the house and out in the yard.

In his younger years Ken drove a rare 1963 Stingray Corvette with a rear split window and later a 1968 convertible model. He also enjoyed boating and fishing down the shore and out on the Hackensack. Throughout his life he owned and maintained several boats at various times and in the 80s and 90s spent many weekends on the water with his son, Ed, teaching him how to fish.

Ken was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosemary, with whom he shared nearly 60 years of his life.

He is survived by his son, Ed Kwityn; daughter-in-law, Jasmine Kwityn; sister, Christine Dolan; and other loving family members, including nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Leber Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094, US, on July 21, 2026, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.

A Committal Service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ 07031, US, on July 21, 2026, from 12:45 pm to 1:00 pm.
