Born in Jersey City to the late Alexander and Pauline Gichan, Lawrence was a US Army veteran of World War II. A former devoted member of The Secaucus Board of Adjustment, pig farmer and enjoyed working in the family pallet business.
Predeceased by his brother Alexander Gichan, sister Stephanie Avignone, and grand daughter Alison. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife Mary Gichan, son Larry and his wife Jessica, daughters Michelle Reyes, Janet Flanagan and husband Tom, and Diane Giorgio and husband Paul, and grandchildren Mariana and Maya Reyes, Tammy Hennessy, Thomas Flanagan, and Christina Namendorf. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews, Gregory, Patricia, John, Steve and Joan.
Visitation for Lawrence will be held on Monday, May 7th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, May 8th, 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church in Secaucus.
