

A proud Vietnam War veteran, Louis honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he built a successful career as a warehouse manager for Smith Jeans in Manhattan, where he worked with dedication and quiet determination until his retirement in 1999. A lifelong New York Yankees fan, he found joy in the game and followed his team with enduring loyalty.
Louis was a devoted husband, father, and family man. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Yvonne (Hoahng) Amico, and by his cherished children, Kimberly Amico and her fiancé, Wayne Carvajal, Michael Amico and his wife, Michelle, and Melissa Amico. He also leaves behind his sisters, Jacqueline Eskenasi and her husband, David, and Marie McConnell and her husband, John. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael “Rocky” Amico. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and by his dear friend, caregiver, and surrogate son, Todd Kmetz. Louis will also be missed by his beloved cats, Scratchie and Bandit.
A Memorial Celebration of Life for Louis will be announced at a later time.
