

Lovina, also known as Lovy or Love was the oldest of seven children, born in Muntinlupa City, Philippines to Bonifacia and Gaudencio Deala Sr. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Education, she dedicated more than 40 years of her life as an Elementary and High school teacher, guiding, mentoring, and developing thousands of students in her vocation. She retired in 2003 and served in the Couples for Christ program with her husband as well as in the Handmaids of the Lord. She loved singing, dancing, playing the piano, and watching Filipino channels. She also attended the daily mass when possible. Otherwise, she would attend the daily mass via EWTN. A Marian devotee, she would pray the rosary daily.
Beloved wife of 53 years to Rizal Lacambra; loving mother of Lizel Lacambra, Ana Lizza Locsin and her husband Martin, and Leah Palileo and her husband Victorino; cherished grandmother of Luke and Frances Ann Locsin, and Leanne Palileo. She is also forever remembered by her sisters Milagros Deala Cabral, Dorinda Deala Arciaga, and brother Belarmino Muto Deala. Lovy is predeceased by her parents, brother Gaudencio Muto Deala Jr., and sister Rebecca Deala Victorino.
Lovy was a beautiful person inside and out. She was generous, kind, sweet, charming, and her smile would light up the whole room. She had an enormous heart and cared deeply for the people around her. She impacted so many lives and will be forever missed.
A visitation for Lovy will be held Tuesday, July 18, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, New Jersey, 07094. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 19, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus, New Jersey. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, New Jersey.
