It was with heavy hearts that we learned of your passing. Although our paths did not grant us the opportunity to see each other as often as we would have liked throughout the years, the times we shared together were memorable. We always parted feeling lighter in spirit and our souls seemed to shine a little brighter than before. The sound of your laughter and your beautiful smile will forever live in our hearts. You were an amazing woman and a genuine friend and you will forever be missed. We were so looking forward to celebrating with you this year but unfortunately life had other plans for all of us. Know that you leave behind many tear filled eyes and sorrow filled hearts, but above all you leave many blessed friends whose lives you have touched with kindness, love, and laughter. May your light continue to shine bright dear friend.

I met Lucy when I was hired at McGraw-Hill in 1974. This petite lady was a dynamo who gathered all the young women in the department under her wing and became our work-place matriach.
She and I found a personal connection that extended to our shared appreciation of Broadway shows, concerts and fine dining. Some how I missed the shopping bug, but I spent many happy hours in her company. She gathered me into her family circle and we remained close until her final journey. I will miss her everyday but as long as I keep her in my heart, her memory will stay alive. Lucy, you were the wind beneath my wings.

My Dearest Cousin Lucy,
I wrote your name in the sand,
but the waves washed it away.
I wrote your name in the sky,
but the wind blew it away.
So I wrote your name in my heart,
and that's where it will stay, always

I have many good memories of Aunt Lucy therefore it is difficulty to list just one. She was always a very special person to me. She was not able to have children and was always considered her a "second mother" to myself and my sisters. Aunt Lucy will be missed terribly. Whenever I hear the Beatles song "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" I will think of her immediately.
