Luzviminda Calara

Luzviminda “Minda” Calara, age 90, passed away on March 5, 2026. Luzviminda was born on July 31, 1935 in Batangas Philippines to the late Emilio Sr. and Maxima (Marasigan) Napenas and moved her in 1989 where she became a resident of Secaucus, New Jersey. Minda had a bachelor’s degree in commerce and worked while in the Philippines as an account, she was a devoted catholic parishioner of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and was awarded the Senior Citizen of the Year award in 2014 -2015.

Minda is survived by her loving children Marisa Mutuc and her husband Dado, Dennis Calara and his wife JoniAnn, Ismael Calara and his spouse Maurice Luker, and Nestor Calara and his wife Mitos; her devoted grandchildren, Francis Mutuc, Mitchell Mutuc, Mark Mutuc, Danielle Monique Calara, Ysabelle Mikaela Calara, Gabrielle Maxine Calara, Emmanuelle Calara, Diana Calara, and Danica Calara; Cherished Sister Gloria Encarnacion, as well as many loving extended family members and friends.

A Visitation will be held at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ on Wednesday March 11th from 4 to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 1219 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, NJ at 9:30am on Thursday March 12th followed by her Entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ.
