Margaret Downey

Margaret DOWNEY, age 88, of Weehawken, New Jersey passed away on Monday January 27, 2020. Margaret was born October 6, 1931 in Kildare Ireland and lived most of life in Weehawken. Margaret was a Nursing Assistant at Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen for many years before retiring.

Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Downey and the devoted mother of Patricia Crinion, Margaret Gravina, John Downey and the late James and Joseph Downey. She was the dear sister of Bride Curtis and the loving grandmother of 6 grand and 5 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Margaret will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd, Union City, NJ 07087. The funeral mass will be on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Augustine Church, 3900 New York Ave, Unionn City, NJ 07087. the burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, New Jersey.
