
Patrick E. Scura Sr., 98, of Secaucus, N.J., passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, at Meadowlands Hospital, Secaucus. Visitation hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Rd., Secaucus, N.J. 07094. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. He worked in the Navy shipyards in Kearny, N.J. for five years as a blueprint draftsman, and then was an inventory manager for Mallinkrodt Industries for 35 years, retiring in 1981. Patrick was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories Church in Jersey City and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Senior Citizens in Jersey City and was an avid Yankees fan. Patrick was predeceased by his wife, Louise A. (Lefante) Scura, in 1998; a son, Joseph J. Scura, in 1995; four brothers and a sister. Surviving are three sons, Patrick E. Scura Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Mahwah, N.J.; Jack L. Scura of Basking Ridge, N.J., and Michael V. Scura and his wife, Deborah, of Cherry Hill, N.J.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
