Ralph A. Olivieri

Ralph A. Olivieri ,79, a lifelong resident of Waldwick, NJ entered into rest on January 1, 2013. Beloved husband of Betty (nee Toth) Olivieri. Devoted father of Shirleyann Eldridge, Domenick Olivieri and his wife Marcy, Anna Maria Olivieri and her husband George, Marcel Barbier and his wife Marlaine and Mark Olivieri. Grandfather of Albert, Bryan, Thomas, Melissa, Tiffany, Alyssa, Vinnie and Mark Jr. Dear brother of Theresa Lazzaro, Maggie Tupaj, Anna Speranza, Carmela Johnson and the late Minnie Gusta. Ralph served his country proudly in the United Stated Army during the Korean War. He was a Mechanic for the Borough of Waldwick. Ralph was a 58 year member of the Waldwick Volunteer Fire Department, was Chief of Department from 1972 to 1973, served also as President of Department.Ralph was given the Presidents Award in 2006 and was The Honorary Host for the fire departments 100th Anniversary Celebration. Ralph was also a member of the Exempts Association and The Relief Association. Visitation will be held Sunday January 6, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ.The family will gather at the funeral home with their relatives and friends on Monday at 8:45 AM for a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Luke's Church, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ralph may be made to the Waldwick Volunteer Fire Department P.O. Box 202 Waldwick, NJ 07463.
