Rita Lucille Cabany

Rita Lucille Cabany, age 81, of Secaucus, New Jersey passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024. Rita was born in Hoboken to the late Joseph and Vita (Salvo) Gasser and living in Union City before spending most of her life here in Secaucus. She was a Secaucus Crossing Guard for 25 years before retiring in 2010, a member of the Moose Lodge of North Bergen, and a long time member of the First Reform Church here in Secaucus. Rita was married to her loving husband the late James E. Cabany and raised 3 children.

Beloved Mother of Connie Cirigliano and her husband Perry, Colleen McDonald and her Fiancé Ron Kelly, and James E. Cabany Jr. and his wife Belle; Cherished Grandmother of Krista, Josh, Perry, and Alex; Devoted Great Grandmother of Finneas Jacob Shay; She is also survived by many loving extended family and friends.

A visitation for Rita will be held on Saturday, March 2nd from 2 to 5:30PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094 followed by a Prayer Service at 5:30pm, Her Cremation will be Private.
