Born in Jersey City, NJ, Robert would go on to serve his country proudly in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 107 of Hoboken, NJ, and the assistant scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 146 of Hoboken, NJ.
He was predeceased by his parents Ann and Louis Garrefa, and his uncle Joseph Nazaro and aunt Dorothy Coleman. Robert is survived by his wife Ann Manzari, his son Robert J. Manzari Jr., and his sisters-in-law Kathleen Stahl, Jeanne McLaughlan and her husband Steve, and Patricia Bradley. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, close family members and dear friends.
A visitation for Robert will be held at Leber Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ, on Thursday, July 2, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Lawrence RC Church, Weehawken, NJ, on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 10:00 am. Burial with Navy Honors to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, NJ.
