Robert Brian Mas, (Bob), left this world in peace on September 17, 2021. He was born on December 18, 1956 in Irvington, NJ. He graduated from Oratory Prep and later worked most of his career at PSE&G in New Jersey.
Bob’s family was his greatest passion in life. His definition of family included many people who had the pleasure of crossing his path. Whether it was coworkers, concert friends, golf foursomes, Gator buddies, or just some folks he met at the Surf Club in Ortley Beach, he considered them all family.
Bob often loved to coin a phrase. One of his favorites was “at the end of the day”. He also could fix practically everything, which he always said was a “gift and a curse”. He used to be able to nap at any time, and he said “that’s because I have a clear conscience”. “If you do the right thing, everything will work out” was another, and he believed that with all his heart.
Ortley Beach was one of Bob’s favorite places to spend the summer where he found his new passion in his love for his wife Connieanne. They married on December 28, 2017. They began to build their life together in Atlantic Beach Florida where they enjoyed a host of new friends and shared pastimes of golf and just hanging on the beach watching the sunsets.
Bob is survived by his spouse, Connieanne Polanec-Mas, his brother Paul and his wife Cynthia, and his sister Christine and her husband Terry. He is also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews.
Bob is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Marie Mas, and his former wife Carmelina Mas.
