

Rose Joan Bruno, 84, passed away on December 13, 2012. She is survived and greatly missed by her loving partner,Harold V. Shea, Sr., her brother John J. Bruno, her niece and goddaughter Lauren Pavlovich,and husband Mark Pavlovich and her great-nephew, Brendan Emmons. Rose was predeceased by her sister-inlaw, Ann Bruno, and her parents Joseph Bruno and Mary (nee Ritzo) Bruno.A long-time resident of Secaucus, Rose born in Kingston, NY was raised in Jersey City. She currently resided in an adult community in Waldwick, NJ. Rose graduated from New Jersey State Teacher's College at Montclair, Magna Cum Laude, in 1950 and began teaching in Weehawken. She continued her postgraduate schooling in the early 1970's
and later received a Masters Degree in Library Science. Her entire professional career, as a Teacher and School Librarian,
was spent in the Weehawken School District. Rose's life was defined and fulfilled by her passions for the arts, literature, education and enjoyment of world travel. Her greatest love being that of family, many cherished friends and the enrichment of her students for over 40 years. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 16, 2012 from 4-8 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus. The family will gather at the funeral home with their relatives and friends on Monday at 9 AM for a 10 AM Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family genuinely requests a donation in Memoriam to Friends of the Secaucus Public Library at 1379 Paterson Plank Road Secaucus, NJ 07094 (201) 330- 2083.
