I will miss Aunty Rosita so much. She was always full of laughter and good energy. She was so much fun. I have known her as my mom's best friend and since I was little. She was always so giving, whether it be cheesecake, a pretty lipstick case from her travels, or her kind and caring nature of when she came with my parents and me to put flowers on my husband's grave. She was always there to lend a hand or give words of wisdom. Her laugh was sparkling and gentle , and what I loved most about her is that she was her very own person - not caring what others thought and not afraid to be herself. She always made me laugh and I always loved being around her. I love you, dear Aunty Rosita. Thank you for being such a lovely part of our lives.  I know you have seen Justin by now. Stay close to us until we are all together again.

My Auntie Rose & my mother met early in their nursing careers together at Michael Reese Hospital.  This was the beginning of a 60 year friendship.  My parents were so fond of Auntie Rose that she was a member of the Okon Family.  My parents chose her to be my godmother.  As my godmother, Auntie Rose welcomed playing an important role in my wedding as she read the first reading during the ceremony.  She was present in the same church for my baptism & my wedding.  Auntie Rose was very special to me.  Throughout my life she always made me feel very special, and she made my husband & children feel very special, too. 

I know Auntie Rose joined my mother, Elena, & my father, Len in heaven.  We, (myself, my husband, Dan, my children, Lily & Max, and my brothers, Mike & Dave, and my late parents) loved her dearly.  We are so grateful to have had her as a part of our family.  I can still hear Auntie Rose’s giggle, and that gives me comfort through my tears.

Rosita, . . . friend, we are sad to know you are not coming back. The angel of the Lord took you by your hand knowing that your work is done here on earth and the Lord will give you rest.

I got to know Rosita through my sister Linda, who was her best friend. She treated us like family, always ready to give valuable advices regarding anything. Rosita was always kind and generous. I remember her coming over to our house giving vaccinations to members of my family. 

Rosita, your friendship was a gift, and your memory is a treasure and I will always cherish it in my heart. Rest in Peace, my dear Rosita. Goodbyes are not forever. They simply mean I’ll miss you until we meet again.

I was in shock and so saddened to learn yesterday that Rosita had passed. Rosita was like  a big sister to me. We’ve worked together for a long time & I have fond memories of her, small chats/conversations. Rosita was so full of wisdom, I listened and believed her. She was very dedicated & hardworking nurse, soft spoken, sweet, compassionate & kind. All these years, i would think about her every so often and should have visited her. I will never forget Rosita, she  will  always be in my heart. My  deepest condolences to Dellie and the rest of the family. May she rest in peace🙏💐🩷

Prayers to Rosita's family on their loss. I worked with Rosita at Michael Reese, especially when I transferred to Peds ED for a few years.  Rosita taught me so much, she was a great nurse and person, so  calm and efficient even in the midst of a Peds code. 
Heaven gained  another special angel!!!

I lost my best friend on earth, but I am not crying. Instead, I am celebrating her new life in a heavenly place. She is finally at peace, surrounded by the spiritual love of her parents, siblings, and family. She is resting safely in the loving arms of Almighty God, Jesus, Mother Mary, and all the saints.I love my friend Rosita deeply. She was always there for me through sadness, pain, and everything else—always looking after me like a big sister since our nursing school days. We came to Chicago together under the exchange nursing program, and except for a very brief period, we worked side-by-side throughout our careers. Professionally, Rosita was one of the greatest nurses I have ever known. She worked in medical facilities where she was highly recognized, respected, and depended on for her expertise. Her skills spanned pediatrics, immunization programs, and hospital house administration, where she managed admissions, oversaw staffing, and expertly handled medical crises like cardiac arrests, starting an IV line where no others could, helping doctors 
find the correct spot for a spinal tap (lumbar puncture) procedure to access the fluid safely.
Even outside of work, she generously used her clinical wisdom to provide health advice and personal care to me, my family, and countless others.Rosita was a model of excellence for us all.
I look forward to the day we meet again.

My deepest condolences to  the family of Rosita Chan, She was a loving daughter and sister to a large family of 12 siblings..She was  very kind and gentle and one of the most generous persons i have ever known. She worked for years as a pediatric nurse with love and skill to all her patients and was highly respected by all  her colleagues.
