Theresa Ann Acquaviva

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, to the late Joseph and Angelina (Pastorino) Quagliana, Theresa—affectionately known as Terry—spent most of her life in Union City and later made her home in Secaucus and Midland Park, New Jersey.

Terry was a proud and active member of the Secaucus Senior Club, where she cherished the friendships she made. She found great joy in traveling, reading novels, playing bingo, cooking, and most of all, spending time with her loved ones. Her warmth, laughter, and generous spirit brought comfort and happiness to everyone who knew her.

Theresa was the devoted wife of 65 years to Gerald Acquaviva, and the loving mother of Robyn Scholz and her husband Benno, Audra Acquaviva and her companion Virginia Mitortando, and Michael Acquaviva. She was the grandmother of four and the great-grandmother of four.

Terry was the beloved sister of the late Marie Celeste and sister-in-law to Nicholas Celeste. She leaves behind her adored nieces and nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held at Leber Funeral Home/Mack Memorial Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, New Jersey, on Saturday, 11/15/25, from 12pm to 2pm, with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Theresa’s memory to the American Cancer Society.

Terry’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will live forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
