Thomas John Lawlor

Thomas Lawlor, 76, departed this life unexpectedly on July 9, 2026. Tom was a deep-rooted resident of Secaucus, N.J. Tom dedicated his life to service, enlisting in the United States Navy and serving two tours in Vietnam as an elite Navy Seal. Following his service, Tom joined the Secaucus Police Department where he aided his community until his retirement in 2002. In subsequent years, Tom was the Head of Security for Axa Financial, a criminal justice instructor at Lincoln Technical Institute, & a court officer for the Town of Secaucus. Most recently, he enjoyed sharing his passion for historical currency by sharing his collection with the elderly in care facilities and senior centers.

Tom was predeceased by his parents John and Florence Lawlor. Tom is survived by his loving wife Lynn, his devoted children Sean and Shannon, and his brother Roy (Denise); as well as many loving extended family members and friends. Tom will also be greatly missed by his loyal companion Champ.

In honoring Tom’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
