Viola A. Glaeser
August 13, 1925 – July 31, 2022

Viola Glaeser (Obertubbesing) 96 OF Secaucus passed away on Sunday July 31, 2022 at the Hudson Regional Hospital after a short illness. Viola was born at home in Guttenberg NJ, to Emily and William. She spent her childhood years in West New York and graduated from Memorial High School. Viola worked in the Embroidery Industry during World II making insignia patches for Military Uniforms. She met her husband Arthur at a Christmas party after he finished his WWII military service and they were married in 1950. Viola raised three Sons, lived in Secaucus for 72 years and was a member of the Secaucus Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending weekends with Artie on their cabin cruiser boat “The Weekender” at the Old Mill Boat Basin in Secaucus and vacations in The White Mountains of New Hampshire. In later years, she liked to watch forensic files and Hallmark movies on television. Viola was pre deceased by her husband of 65 years Arthur, her sister Mildred, her brothers William, Edward, Harald, Richard, Roy, Her nephew Glen, and her Daughter in Law Joanne. Viola is survived by her three sons; Arthur, Neil, Robert and his companion Claudia, Granddaughter Tara Nuara and her husband Stephen, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Viola will be held Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 4 to 8PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. A prayer service will occur Friday, August 5, 2022 at 9:30 AM at Mack Memorial Home 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. Followed by a committal service at Garden of Memories, 300 Soldier Hill Rd, Township of Washington, NJ 07676.
