

Secaucus, NJ- Virginia L. (Trenz) Flaig passed into eternal life in her home on April 16, 2016 with her loving family by her side. Virginia was born in Jersey City to William and Mary (Zengel) Trenz, and was a lifelong resident of Secaucus. Early in her career Virginia was employed as a beautician at Helen’s Beauty Shop in Secaucus and later as a front desk receptionist for The Plaza Motor Inn, prior to retirement. Virginia was a devoted congregant of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Secaucus and a former member of the Eastern Star Trinity Chapter, and St. Matthew’s Church Ladies Aide, and a lifelong member of American Legion Auxiliary POST 118 in Secaucus. Predeceasing her is her beloved husband: John E. Flaig, her sister Marie Coats and her late longtime companion William McKeever. Surviving her is a daughter; Janet V. Aitken and her husband John of Red Bank, NJ. and her son; John W. and his wife Carol of Glassboro. Four grandchildren; Dr. Jennifer Aitken and husband Dr. Lykourgos Iordanidis, Jeffrey Aitken and wife Tara, Katie and Allison Flaig. Four Great grandchildren: John Iordanidis, Nicholas Iordanidis, Cain and Dylan Aitken. Friends and family are invited to Mack Memorial Home 1245 Paterson Plank Rd Secaucus, NJ Wednesday 2~4 7~9 pm. A Thursday funeral service will be celebrated from St Matthew’s Lutheran Church at 10 am followed by interment in Crest Haven Cemetery, Clifton, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the St. Matthew Lutheran church, Secaucus.
