William "Uncle Bill " Daley

William C. Daley - 81 passed away on March 10, 2013. Born in Union City, NJ, he resided in Waldwick, NJ for the past 33 years. Known to everyone as Uncle Bill, he will be missed by all who knew him.

He was pre deceased by his parents William C. and Elsie Daley and his brother, Richard A. Daley. He is survived by his loving sister, Doris A. Ryan and husband, Robert and sister-in-law Maureen Daley. Bill was the loving Uncle to nephews, Robert B. Ryan and wife Kathleen, William C. Ryan and wife, Barbara, Kevin P. Ryan and wife, Virginia; nieces, Debra A. Weissman and husband, Eric, Sharon Nesbitt and husband, James, and niece Erin Daley; grandnieces and grandnephews, Robert, Roxanne, and Keith Ryan, Kelly and Jillian Ryan, Zachary, Vanessa, and Hannah Weissman, and Ethan and Stefanie Nesbitt.

Bill was a graduate of St. Michael's High School, Union City, NJ. He was employed by the DL&W Railroad and than the Bank of New York (formally Irving Trust Co.) where he retired from in1988 as an accountant in the trust department. Bill was a parishioner of St. Luke's R.C. church where he was a member of the Senior Lucans, he was a member Activities Unlimited, Wyckoff, NJ, and The Knight's of Columbus, in River Edge, NJ. Bill enjoyed traveling with family and friends throughout the United States, Europe and The United Kingdom. Bill's fondest memories were the trips he took with family to Walt Disney World, FL and Woodloch Pines, PA. Bill was a lover of all things Disney.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ from 4-8 pm. The family will gather at the funeral home with their relatives and friends on Friday at 9:30 AM for a 11:00 AM funeral mass at St. Luke's R.C.Church, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ.Internment to follow at St. Luke's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill can be made to St. Luke's R.C. Church, Building Fund, 340 North Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423.
