Aaron L Burns

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 5 – 7 pm on Monday, December 2, 2013, at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Mr. Burns passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013, in Shawnee.

Aaron was born on October 13, 1950, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Arthur L. and Hazel Burns. He attended Shawnee High School and graduated from Dale High School in 1969. He worked for Humpty Dumpty in produce for many years. He loved horses and broke horse for several years. He was an avid gun collector and hunter and loved to play pitch. He recently attended Spirit Rain Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by one daughter: Melissa Smith and her husband, Justin of Newport News, VA; three grandchildren: Raymond, Randall and Rebecca Smith, all of Newport News, VA; two sisters: Alanna Hotchkiss, of Schaumberg, IL and Paula Taylor and her husband, Mike of Shawnee; and three nephews: Del Hotchkiss of Schaumberg, IL, Brad Humphrey of Shawnee, OK and Chad Humphrey of Moore, OK.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 7000 N Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116, in memory of Aaron Burns.
